Every year, about 8 million tons of plastic waste escapes into our oceans. The problem is on a scale hard to comprehend, and you would be forgiven for thinking there is little any of us can do.

At present only 9% of the plastics we produce is recycled. Wherever possible, we use recycled plastic as a substructure for our decks, it’s an excellent material to use for low level decks with little air circulation.

Timber won’t last very long at all in this scenario, but our recycled plastic substructures carry a 20 year warranty. This means we can offer a substructure with the longevity to match modern composite boards, whilst helping to reduce our global plastic problem.
